Welcome to GlazeMe (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the GlazeMe mobile application (“App”), including our keyboard extension and any related services. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly. When you create an account or use our Services, we may collect:
  • Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's anonymized relay email) as shared by you.
  • Profile information: Display name and profile photo (if provided).
  • Payment information: We process in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple's App Store. We do not store your credit card or payment details — all transactions are handled by Apple.
  • Contacts: With your permission, we access your device contacts solely to help you find and connect with friends on GlazeMe. We do not store or sell your contacts.
  • Messages & glazes: The glaze messages you generate, send, or receive within the App.
1.2 Information collected automatically.
  • Usage data: Features you use, pages you visit, and actions you take within the App.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and crash/diagnostic data.
  • Log data: IP address, app activity timestamps, and error logs.
1.3 Information from third parties. We use Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication, real-time database, and cloud storage; Firebase may collect usage and diagnostic data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Glaze content is generated using third-party AI providers — the text prompts you input are sent to these services for processing. We do not share personally identifiable information with AI providers beyond what is necessary to generate your requested content.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:
  • Create and manage your account: Set up and maintain your GlazeMe profile and credentials.
  • Generate AI-powered glazes: Process your prompts through our AI pipeline to produce personalized glaze content on your behalf.
  • Process money transfers: Display and handle money transfers between users within the App.
  • Maintain leaderboard rankings: Track and display user rankings across the GlazeMe community.
  • Send push notifications: Deliver timely in-app alerts and updates, with your permission.
  • Sync your data: Keep your content and preferences consistent across your devices.
  • Provide customer support: Respond to your inquiries and resolve any issues you encounter.
  • Improve & personalize the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and tailor your experience.
  • Ensure safety & security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized account access.
  • Comply with legal obligations: Meet requirements under applicable laws and respond to valid legal processes.

3. Keyboard Extension

GlazeMe includes an optional keyboard extension that allows you to send glazes from any app on your device.

No keystroke logging. The keyboard extension does not log, store, or transmit any keystrokes or text you type outside of the GlazeMe glaze generation flow.

Explicit activation only. The extension only accesses the App's features when you explicitly activate a GlazeMe action.

No surveillance. We do not use the keyboard extension for any form of surveillance or data harvesting. It operates only when you choose to use it and never monitors your general typing activity.

4. Payments & In-App Purchases

Apple App Store only. All payments, subscriptions, and in-app purchases are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store and governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.

No raw payment data. We receive confirmation of your purchase (subscription status, credit balance) from Apple but never receive your raw payment or card details.

Secure storage. Subscription and credit data is stored securely in our systems solely to manage your account balance and entitlements.

For questions about billing, refunds, or payment disputes, please contact Apple Support directly, as all financial transactions are processed and managed by Apple.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
  • Service providers: Trusted third-party vendors (Firebase/Google, AI providers, analytics tools) who assist us in operating the App, under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Other users: Your display name, glaze messages you send, and leaderboard ranking are visible to other users as part of the App's core features.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
  • Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of GlazeMe, our users, or the public.

6. Third-Party Services

GlazeMe integrates with the following categories of third-party services:
  • App distribution & payments — App Store delivery, in-app purchases, and subscriptions (Apple App Store).
  • Authentication & cloud infrastructure — Secure sign-in, real-time database, and cloud storage (Firebase / Google LLC).
  • AI processing — Powering the GlazeMe glaze generator (proprietary AI infrastructure).
  • Analytics — Usage analysis and app performance monitoring.
  • Customer support — Support ticket management.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. GlazeMe is not responsible for the privacy practices of external services.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the App's services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
  • Account & profile data: Until account deletion + 30-day recovery window.
  • Glaze messages & generated content: Until you delete it or close your account.
  • Transaction & subscription records: As required for financial and tax compliance.
  • App usage & log data: 90 days (rolling), then anonymized.
  • Support communications: 2 years from resolution.
  • Legal hold data: As required by law.
Upon account deletion, we will remove your data from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS protocols.
  • Firebase Security Rules: We use Firebase Security Rules to restrict unauthorized access to data stored in our cloud infrastructure.
  • Secure authentication: Account access is protected by Apple Sign-In, providing secure, password-free authentication.
  • Access controls: Internal access to user data is restricted on a strict need-to-know basis.
  • Incident response: We maintain documented procedures for detecting and responding to security incidents.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data using best practices.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you have the following rights over your personal data.

All users: Access your personal data; correct inaccurate information; request account deletion; opt out of push notifications; revoke contacts permission; request data export.

GDPR (EU / EEA / UK): Data portability; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent at any time; lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

CCPA (California): Know what data is collected; request deletion; opt out of sale of data; non-discrimination rights. GlazeMe does not sell personal information and California residents will never face discrimination for exercising their rights.

How to exercise: Email info@glazeme.com. We respond within 5 business days and aim to fully resolve within 30 days. Identity verification is required.

10. Children's Privacy

GlazeMe is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at info@glazeme.com and we will take prompt steps to delete such data.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own (including the United States), where data protection laws may differ. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. For users in the EU/EEA/UK, we ensure all international data transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

12. Apple Sign-In

We use Sign in with Apple as our primary authentication method and comply with Apple's requirements for apps using this feature.

Minimal data collection. We only request the minimum necessary information (name and email) required to create your account.

Email privacy. We fully respect your choice to hide your real email address via Apple's private relay service — the anonymized relay email functions identically for all app purposes.

Apple compliance. Our use of Sign in with Apple adheres to Apple's authentication guidelines and developer policies. GlazeMe never stores your Apple credentials and cannot access your Apple account.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, post the updated policy within the App and on our website, and — for significant changes — notify you via in-app notice or push notification. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must discontinue use of the App.
